We couldn’t help but notice the slogan printed on the back of one of the NICU staff’s t-shirts today.
“Fight Like a Baby.”
There truly is no tenacity like that of a newborn infant fighting for its very life.
NICU needs strong-willed, stubborn babies. Who will grow into strong-willed, stubborn children, that will fight and argue and drive their parents insane. Who will become strong-willed, stubborn teens, that fill their parents’ heads with gray hair. And who will one-day emerge as strong-willed, stubborn adults – who fight for truth, stand up for what is right, and take the road less travelled.
Keep fighting like a baby, Truitt.
Baby Truitt was born prematurely on July 20, 2016. Before birth, he developed a condition known as non-immune hydrops and is currently in NICU. This blog will be providing periodic updates and prayer requests.
